It is induced during chondrogenic differentiation, contributing to bone and cartilage differentiation and angiogenesis via ERK1/2 signaling and has been shown to suppress hepatic glucose output via inhibition of gluconeogenesis and to lower blood glucose levels in both normal and ob/ob mice. Cayman's CTRP3 (human) EIA Kit is a competitive assay which can be used to measure CTRP3 in human serum, plasma, or cell culture supernatants. The assay exhibits a detection limit of 10 ng/ml and an assay range of 7.8-1,000 ng/ml. |
