As a major leukocyte receptor for beta-glucan this molecule may have a key role in the immunomodulatory effects of beta-glucans and in the host response to fungal pathogens.\nRecent work has shown that Dectin-1 may stimulate reactive oxygen production in macropahges via the protein tyrosine kinase known as Syk.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunohistochemistry (frozen), and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. \n \nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow cytometry: 1:10-1:50; 10ul labels 10e6 cells in 100ul\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nHybridoma: \nY3 rat myeloma cells with spleen cells from Fischer rats.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
