Desmoglein 2 is a 165kD glycoprotein that is a core component of the desmosome cell-cell junction between epithelial cells. Desmoglein 2 is synthesized in the basal layers of the skin.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunoprecipitation and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilutions:
Immunohistochemistry: Frozen sections
Western Blot: 1:100-1:1000. Detects a band of ~165kD in A-431 cell lysates.
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.

Hybridoma:
NS1 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
