The E2F family of transcription factors includes the E2Fs and DP1. These proteins are critical regulators of genes required for cell cycle progression, and their activity is regulated by association with different protein partners during stages of the cell cycle. E2Fs bind the hypophosphorylated form of pRb, and are maintained in an inactive state. Phosphorylation of Rb causes dissociation, and activation of E2F activity.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Western Blot: 1:1000
Immunocytochemistry: 1:500
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
