Early Growth Response 1, (EGR1) belongs to the EGR family of zinc finger transcription factors and regulates the expression of several tumor suppressors. Its expression is induced by diverse signals that initiate growth and differentiation. EGR1 suppresses or activates cell growth depending on the tumor type. Within the region that includes its three zinc finger domains, human EGR1 shares 99% aa sequence identity with mouse and rat EGR1. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: ELISA: 1:4000-1:16,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:3000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months.
