Endostatin (Collagen alpha-1(XVIII) Chain, COL18A1) (Biotin)

Endostatin is a naturally occurring 20kD polypeptide derived from the C-terminal portion of type XVIII collagen. It functions as an anti-angiogenic cytokine that is expressed in various organs with the highest levels in liver, lung and kidney. Endostatin inhibits angiogenesis by blocking the pro-angiogenic activities of VEGF and FGF-basic. Recombinant human Endostatin is a 20.2kD protein consisting 184aa residues.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: To detect hEndostatin by sandwich ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1ug/ml of this antibody is required.\nELISA (Direct): To detect hEndostatin by direct ELISA (using 100ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1ug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4ng/well of recombinant hEndostatin.\nWestern Blot: To detect hEndostatin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hEndostatin is 1.5-3ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
