The EGFR mediates the initial response of cells to EGF. It has an extracellular region, which binds EGF and an intracellular region, which exhibits tyrosine kinase activity (1). The receptor phosphorylates a number of protein substrates in addition to mediating autophosphorylation of tyrosine residues located near its carboxyl terminus (2,3). Applications: Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 1ug labels 1x10e6 cells Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
