Apoptosis is a normal process involving cell termination, homeostasis, development, and immunoreactivities. Several proteins involved in the process of the initiation of apoptosis, but two main methods of regulation have been identified: targeting mitochondria functionality, or directly transducing the signal via adapter proteins to the apoptotic mechanisms. The TNF-induced pathway and the Fas-Fas ligand-mediated pathway, both involving receptors of the TNF receptor (TNFR) family coupled to extrinsic signals, have been suggested in the direct signal transduction mechanism. In this model, the interaction of death factors such as FasL and TRAIL with the Fas and TNFR results in the formation of the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), which contains the FADD, caspase-8 and caspase-10, initiating the process of programmed cell death. Zebrafish model has been widely used in apoptosis research and anti- zebrafish Fas and Fas ligand antibodies would provide powerful tools in this area. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: F0019-63Z Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
