Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins (14-15kD) that bind long chain fatty acids, their CoA derivatives, billiruben, organic anions and other small hydrophobic molecules. L-FABP (or FABP-1) is found predominantly in liver and is believed to be involved in the regulation of lipid transport and metabolism and is required for cholesterol synthesis and metabolism. \n\nSource: \nRecombinant corresponding to aa1-127 from human L-FABP, fused to 6x His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot as a control. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
