FHOD3 is a novel member of the formin homology family playing an important role in regulation of the actin cytoskeleton. It contains aDD (diaphanous auto regulatory) domain, an FH1 (formin homology 1) domain, an FH2 (formin homology 2) domain and a GBD/FH3 (Rho GTPase-binding/formin homology 3) domain. FHOD3 is a cytoplasmic protein where the main part of the protein localizes to actin fibers and the remaining part displays filamentous staining. FHOD3 is a 1422aa containing formin-related actin-organizing protein that may cause stress fiber formation together with cell elongation and may associate with nestin/NES-based interfilament (IF). Expression of FHOD3 is seen mainly in heart, kidney and brain.
Applications:
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
Immunohistochemistry (formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 15ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
