Human D-dimer (DD), a specific degradation product of cross-linked fibrin, is released into the bloodstream during clot breakdown. It is used as an indicator of a blood clots, venous thromboses or pulmonary embolisms. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Hybridoma: P3X63-Ag8.653 myeloma cells with spleen cells from Balb/c mice. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.

Additional info: Recognizes human fragment D-dimer of cross-linked fibrin. Reacts equally well with fragment D of noncross-linked fibrin. Minor reactivity with fragment D of fibrinogen or with fibrinogen has been observed.
