FGF 10 signals through binding to the FGF Receptor (FGFR) 2b, and has structural and biological activities similar to that of FGF 7. Defects in FGF 10 are responsible for the autosomal dominant disorders known as lacrimo-auriculo-dento-digital syndrome (LADDS), and aplasia of lacrimal and salivary glands (ALSG).
