Fibroblast Growth Factor 16, Recombinant, Human (FGF16)

Fibroblast Growth Factor 16 (FGF16) play a key role in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis and repair in animals. FGF-16 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor that stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express FGF receptors. Recombinant Human FGF-16 is a 23.7kD protein containing 207 amino residues.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nELISA: > 0.5ug/ml using 100ul/well detects of 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hFGF-16.\nWestern Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml detects hFGF-16 in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents. The detection limit for recombinant hFGF-16 is 1.5-3.0ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
