FGF 4 was originally designated as hst, which was identified as a transforming gene in DNA samples from human stomach cancer, and shown to be secreted by both embryonic stem cells and embryonic carcinoma. Studies have shown that FGF 4 signals through binding to the FGF Receptors (FGFRs) 1c, 2c, 3c, and 4. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
