Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 2, Recombinant, Human, GST-Tag (FGFR2)

Fibroblast growth factors (FGFs) are members of a large family of structurally related polypeptides that are potent physiological regulators of growth and differentiation for a wide variety of cells of mesodermal, ectodermal and endodermal origin. Four genes encoding for high affinity cell surface FGF receptors (FGFRs) have been identified: FGFR1, FGFR2, FGFR3 and FGFR4. FGFRs are members of the tyrosine kinase family of growth factor receptors. FGFR2 is highly expressed in developing human tissues including the brain, choroids plexus, lung etc.\n\nSource: \nRecombinant human FGFR2, aa399-end, with N-terminal GST tag, expressed in baculovirus infected Sf9 insect cells.\n\nMolecular Weight: 74kD\n\nSpecific Activity: \n521.4nmol/min/mg \n\nReaction Buffer: \n50mM HEPES (pH7.5), 10mM MgCl2, 1mM EDTA, 0.01% BRIJ- 35 and 200uM of ATP. \n\nSubstrate: \n2uM Tyr peptide 4 from Invitrogen. \n\nApplication: \nUseful for the study of enzyme kinetics, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution: \nThe enzyme reactionwas carried out for 1h at room temperature in reaction buffer. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nAliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months.
