The transcription factor Foxa2 (also called hepatocyte nuclear factor 3beta, [HNF-3beta) is implicated in blood glucose homeostasis. Overexpression of Foxa2 decrease heptocyte glycogen levels and reduce expression of glucoe homeostasis genes. The loss of Foxa2 function leads to up-regulation of hexokinase (HK) I and II and glucokinase (HK-IV) mRNA expression.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 1:2000
Western Blot: 1-3ug/ml
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 3.75ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
