Forkhead box C1 (FOXC1) belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of FOXC1 has not yet been determined; however, it has been shown to play a role in the regulation of embryonic and ocular development. Mutations in FOXC1 cause various glaucoma phenotypes including primary congenital glaucoma, autosomal dominant iridogoniodysgenesis anomaly, and Axenfeld-Rieger anomaly. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Western Blot: 1:250-1:1000 Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
