FUS2 gene is located in a region of chromosome 3p21.3, that is associated with a putative lung cancer tumor suppressor gene. The FUS2 protein is a soluble nuclear protein. It contains an acetyltransferase domain, a proline-rich domain, an SH2 domain, a ZP motif, and a eukaryotic thiol protease signature motif.
