GPR75 is a 540aa, 7-transmembrane G-protein-coupled glycoprotein receptor mainly expressed in retinal pigment epithelial cells and brain. Polymorphisms in humans have been associated with macular degeneration. GPR75 has been identified as a receptor for CCL5/RANTES in the brain. Collectively, the extracellular domains of human GPR75 share 75aa sequence identity with the corresponding regions of mouse and rat GPR75.
