Human GCP 2 (Granulocyte Chemotactic Protein 2, GCP-2, Chemokine (C-X-C Motif) Ligand 6, C-X-C Motif Chemokine 6, CXCL6, Chemokine alpha 3, CKA-3, Small Inducible Cytokine Subfamily B (Cys X Cys) Member 6, SCYB6) a 7.8-8.8kD connective tissue derived CXC chemokine with several isoforms, which acts as a selective chemoattractant for neutrophils and is closely related to epithelial cell-derived neutrophil-activating peptide-78 (ENA-78/CXCL5). Like IL-8 (CXCL8/GCP-1), GCP-2 was first isolated from osteosarcoma cells, contains the ELR-motif (N-terminal Glu-Leu-Arg amino acid sequence) and signals through the CXCR1 and CXCR2 receptors.
Applications:
Suitable for use in ELISA, Functional Assays, and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
Recommended Dilution:
ELISA: 0.5-2ug/ml
Western Blot: 0.1-0.2ug/ml
Functional Assays: 2-5ug/ml
Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
Storage and Stability:
Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C for short-term only.Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile 40-50% glycerol, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
