In the pancreas, it regulates the hypothalamic pituitary a, Xenopus/Amphibian,is through its affects on LH, TSH, CRH, o, Xenopus/Amphibian,ytocin, and vasopressin secretion. Finally it stimulates islet neogenesis and pancreatic beta cell proliferation while suppressing beta cell apoptosis.
