Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta (GSK3b)

Glycogen Synthase Kinase 3 beta (GSK3b) isoform is also known as Tau protein kinase-1(TPK-1). GSK3 beta is a protein-serine/threonine kinase with broad specificity and phosphorylates and inactivates glycogen synthase. It is ubiquitously distributed but highly expressed in mammalian brain and occurs in two isoforms, 51kD (alpha) and 47kD (beta). GSK beta is inhibitied in response to insulin.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot (Colorimetric) and Immunoprecipitation (rat brain tissues). Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution\nWestern Blot: 1ug/ml \nImmunoprecipitation: 12.5ug/ml, Immunoprecipitations with tissue extracts other than brain may require higher antibody concentrations.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nControl: Hela cells, rat or mouse brain.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
