Glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3) is implicated in multiple biological processes including metabolism, gene expression, cell fate determination, proliferation, and survival. Two closely related GSK3 isoforms encoded by distinct genes: GSK3a (51kD) and GSK3b (47kD). GSK3a and GSK3b play distinct roles during zebrafish cardiogenesis. Studies in zebrafish model shows that GSK3a, but not GSK3b, is necessary in cardiomyocyte survival; the GSK3b plays important roles in modulating the left-right asymmetry and affecting heart positioning. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Control Peptide: G8170-53R Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
