Heat Shock Protein 60 (HSP60, GroEL, Chaperonin 60, cpn60)

Applications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation, Electron Microscopy, Immunohistochemistry (frozen/paraffin) and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1-2ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (frozen and formalin/paraffin): 1-2ug/ml. Staining of formalin fixed tissure sections requires boiling the tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.\nImmunoprecipitation (Nature and denatured): 2ug/mg of protein lysate using Protein G.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPOSITIVE CONTROL: \nBT474 or MAD109 cells or breast carcinoma. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, add sterile glycerol (40-50%), aliquot and store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.

Recognizes a 60kD protein identified as heat shock protein 60 (hsp60). The epitope recognized by the monoclonal is located between amino acids 383-447 of human hsp60. Species Crossreactivity: Human, rat, mouse, hamster and chicken. Does not react with bacteria, helminthes or spinach.
