Hemagglutinin Tag (YPYDVPDYA) (HA Tag)

Human influenza hemagglutinin (HA) is a surface glycoprotein required for the infectivity of the human virus. The HA tag is derived from the HA-molecule corresponding to amino acids 98-106 has been extensively used as a general epitope tag in expression vectors. Many recombinant proteins have been engineered to express the HA tag, which does not appear to interfere with the bioactivity or the biodistribution of the recombinant protein. This tag facilitates the detection, isolation, and purification of the proteins.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nWestern Blot: 0.5-2ug/ml detects a recombinant protein containing the HA-tag at the N-terminus in RIPA lysates from HEK293 cells.\nImmunoprecipitation: 5ug/ml reported to immunoprecipitate recombinant HA-tagged fusion protein.\nImmunocytochemistry: 5ug/ml reported to immunostain HA-tagged fusion protein.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by researhcer.\n\nRecommended secondary antibodies:\nI1904-06C: IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\nI1904-06H IgG, H&L (HRP) (X-Adsorbed) Pab Gt xMo\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
