His-Tag (6-Histidine)

Insertion of a 6-histidine tag creates a stable fusion product that does not interfere with the bioactivity of the protein or with the biodistribution of the His-tagged product. Such proteins are purified by immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography which makes use of its high affinity for transitition metal ion.\n\nThe antibody can be used as a molecular handle for any recombinant protein expressed in a vector which contains a six histidine stretch adjacent to the restriction sites Bam H1, which is a common motif in several commercially available expression plasmids.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Affinity Purification, Immunofluorescence, Conjugation. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nConjugation: Use antibody without BSA: cat# H5009-05X.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nPositive Control:\nHexa-histidine fusion protein\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
