HLA Class 1 Antigen B7 (FITC)

The major histocompatibility complex (MHC) is a cluster of genes that are important in the immune response to infections. In humans, this complex is referred to as the human leukocyte antigen (HLA) region. There are 3 major MHC class I proteins encoded by the HLA which are HLA A, HLA B and HLA C.The HLA B gene is part of the human HLA complex on chromosome 6 and there are a large number of variant alleles of this gene. \n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: Neat-1:10. Use 10ul to label 1x10e6 cells or 100ul whole blood.\nOptimal working dilutions to be determined by researcher.\n\nRecommended Negative Controls: \nI1904-78R3: IgG1 Murine Negative Control (FITC)\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. FITC conjugates are sensitive to light.

It can be used to distinguish true HLA-B27 positives from false HLA-B27 positives (ie HLA-B7 positive) in the investigation of diseases such as ankylosing spondylitis and anterior uveitis.
