HSP60, a 60kD member of Chaperonin family, is a mitochondrial protein that participates in protein folding, transport and secretion. HSP60 is a multi-functional protein whose roles include accelerating the maturation of pro-caspase 3 during apoptosis, LPS-binding, acting as a ligand for innate immune system and also binding to the surface of innate immune cells and stimulating proinflammatory reactivity. It induces the expression of IL-12 and IL-15 and also induces release of TNF-alpha, NO and IL-6. Reports suggest interaction of Hsp60 with integrin molecules during metastasis. Mutations in Hsp60 gene cause autosomal recessive spastic paraplegia 13. Hsp60 has been found to be involved in development of auto-immune disorders such as Rheumatoid arthritis, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, systemic sclerosis and atherosclerosis.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and mmunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.25ug/ml\nImmunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 10ug/ml\nImmunoprecipitation: 10ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
