The Human Lactoferrin ELISA kit has been developed for the quantitative measurement of natural and recombinant human lactoferrin in cell culture medium, plasma, breast milk, faeces, urine and other body fluids. In plasma samples, human lactoferrin can be measured accurately if plasma samples are diluted at least 4 times. Most reliable results are obtained if EDTA plasma is used. Breast milk samples have to be diluted at least 10,000x to achieve reliable measurements of lactoferrin. Faecal samples have to be diluted 100-1,000 times, whereas urine samples have to be diluted at least 20 times.
