Insulin Like Growth Factor-I (IGF-I) is a polypeptide growth factor which stimulates the proliferation of a wide range of cell types including muscle, bone, and cartilage tissue. Recombinant Murine IGF-I is a 7.6kD protein containing 70 amino acid residues.
Biological Activity:
The ED50 as determined by a cell proliferation assay using FDC-P1 cells is (same/less than)2.0ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of (same/more than)5x10e5 units/mg.

Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
