Integrin beta6

Integrins are a large family of transmembrane proteins composed of an alpha and beta component. Integrins are involved in a diversity of biological functions such as cell adhesion, structure, differentiation, apoptosis and cell proliferation. They are the principal cell surface receptors that recognize cell to matrix interactions, but little is known about the expression of beta 1 integrin family on airway smooth muscle (ASM) and their involvement in proliferation. This is a contributing factor in structural changes seen in asthma.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Not suitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: Effective for all species tested.\nImmunohistochemistry: Acetone fixation. Effective for rabbit, rat, monkey and human. Not suitable for use on mouse tissue.\nImmunocytochemistry: Effective for F6, HT-29, H441 cell lines.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
