Recombinant protein corresponding to 144aa of human Interferon gamma expressed in E.coli is a single, non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain.\n\nBiological Activity:\nThe specific activity as determined in a viral resistance assay is <0.05ng/ml, correspeonding to a specific activity of 2.0x107 IU/mg.\n\nDimers and Aggregates:\n(same/less than)1% (SDS-PAGE)\n\nProtein Content:\nProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: \n1. UV spectroscopy at 280nm using the absorbency value of 0.640 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences(IntelliGenetics). \n2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of IFN-gamma as a Reference Standard.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at -20 degrees C. Stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O, 0.1% HSA or BSA. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
