Interleukin-3 Mouse Recombinant Protein produced in E. coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 135 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 15.1kD. The IL-3 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.\n\nSource:\nProtein factor IL-3 mouse recombinant expressed in E. coli. Amino Acid Sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids was determined and was found to be Met-Asp-Thr-His-Arg.\n\nProtein Content:\nProtein quantitation was carried out by two independent methods: 1. UV spectroscopy at 280 nm using the absorbency value of 0.171 as the extinction coefficient for a 0.1% (1mg/ml) solution. This value is calculated by the PC GENE computer analysis program of protein sequences (IntelliGenetics). 2. Analysis by RP-HPLC, using a standard solution of IL3 as a Reference Standard.\n\nBiological Activity:\nThe ED50 as determined by the dose-dependent stimulation of murine M-NFS-60 cells is < 0.05 ng/ml, corresponding to a Specific Activity of 2 x 107 IU/mg.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nFor long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
