Ki-67 (Antigen Identified by Monoclonal Antibody Ki-67, KIA, MKI67, Proliferation Related Ki-67 Antigen)

Ki67 antigen is the prototypic cell cycle related nuclear protein, expressed by proliferating cells in all phases of the active cell cycle (G1, S, G2 and M phase). It is absent in resting (G0) cells. Ki67 antibodies are useful in establishing the cell growing fraction in neoplasms. In neoplastic tissues the prognostic value is comparable to the tritiated thymidine-labelling index. The correlation between low Ki67 index and histologically low-grade tumours is strong. Ki67 is routinely used as a neuronal marker of cell cycling and proliferation.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Immunofluorescence, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nImmunofluorescence (IC): 1:10-1:2000\nImmunohistochemistry (Paraffin): 1:100-1:500\nImmunohistochemistry (Frozen): 1:100-1:500\nFlow Cytometry: 1:100\nWestern Blot: 1:100-1:2000\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nPositive Controls:\nMouse intestine, pancreas, spleen\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
