Cell-permeable. A potent and selective g-secretase inhibitor (IC50 = 17 nM). Displays > 50-fold selectivity over a range of aspartyl, serine and cysteine proteases. Exhibits equal potency for inhibition of Ab40 and Ab42 peptides (IC50 values are 48 and 67nM respectively in human neuroblastoma cells). Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
