MART-1 (Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T-cells 1, Melan-A) (BSA & Azide Free)

MART-1 (Melanoma Antigen Recognized by T-cells 1) or Melan-A is a newly identified melanocyte differentiation antigen recognized by autologous cytotoxic T lymphocytes. Some other melanoma associated antigens recognized by autologous cytotoxic T cells include MAGE-1 and 3, tyrosinase, and gp100 and 75. Subcellular fractionation shows that MART-1 is present in melanosomes and endoplasmic reticulum.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry, Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nImmunoprecipitation (Denaured verified): 2ug/mg. Use Protein A.\nWestern Blot: 0.5-1.0 ug/ml for 2 hours at RT.\nImmunohistology (Formalin/ paraffin): 1-2ug/ml for 30 minutes at RT. Formalin-fixed tissues require boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nRecommended Positive Control:\nCaC1 melanoma cells and melanomas.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
