mSin3A (Mammalian Sin 3)

Mammalian Sin 3 (mSin 3) is a 150kD protein closely related to the yeast SIN3 repressor protein involved in the transcriptional repression of many genes. There are two mammalian isoforms, mSin 3A and mSin 3B. Containing 4 paired amphipathic helix domains (PAH domains), mSin 3A and mSin 3B have been shown to directly interact with several other transcriptional repressor proteins including HDAC 1, HDAC 2, RbAp 46, the methyl CpG binding protein MeCP 2, the Mad/Max heterodimer, and the corepressors silencing mediator of retinoic acid & thyroid hormone receptor (SMRT) and nuclear receptor corepressor (N-CoR). \n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 0.5ug/ml. Detects an ~150kD protein representing mSin 3A from T47D cell extract. \nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Freeze at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
