Human Neutrophil Activating Protein-2 (NAP-2) promotes neutrophil chemotaxis and degranulation. Human NAP-2 is an 7.6kD protein containing 70 amino acid residues.
Source: E. coli
Form: Lyophilized protein with no additives.
Stability: The lyophilized protein, though stable at room temperature, is best stored desiccated below 0 degrees C. Reconstituted NAP-2 should be stored in working aliquots at -20 degrees C.
Purity: Greater than 98% by SDS-PAGE and HPLC analyses. Endotoxin level is less than 0.1 ng perug of NAP-2.
Reconstitution: The lyophilized NAP-2 is soluble in water and most aqueous buffers. The lyophilized protein can be reconstituted in water to a concentration of 100 ng/microl.. This solution can be diluted into other buffered solutions or stored at -20oC for future use.
Biological Activity: The maximal chemotactic activity of human NAP-2 on human neutrophils as assayed by a modified Boyden chamber was achieved at 50 ng/ml.
Responding Cells (partial list): Neutrophils
Concentration Range for most in vitro applications: 10.0-100 ng/ml
