NT5C2, has an essential role in the maintenance of purine/pyrimidine nucleotides. It contains a phosphotransferase active site that catalyzes the dephosphorylation of 6-hydroxypurine nucleoside 5'-monophosphates. In addition, it regulates the level of inosine monophosphate (IMP) and guanosine monophosphate (GMP) pools within cells via hydrolysis. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-561 from human NT5C2, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli.
