Purified pectinase is a multi-component preparation highly effective in depolymerizing plant pectins with varying degrees of esterification. The product contains substantial hemicellulase, cellulase, pectinesterase and xylanase activities which together with pectin lyase and polygalacturonase work synergistically to digest plant cell wall tissues.
