POLR2L is a subunit of RNA polymerase II, the polymerase responsible for synthesizing messenger RNA in eukaryotes. The protein contains four conserved cysteines characteristic of an atypical zinc-binding domain. Like its counterpart in yeast, this subunit may be shared by the other two DNA-directed RNA polymerases. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to POL R2L, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. Molecular Weight: ~7.6kD Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
