RSK 4 (RSK4, pp90RSK4, p90-RSK 6, Ribosomal Protein S6 Kinase alpha 6, RPS6KA6, S6K-alpha 6)

The 90kD ribosomal protein S6 kinases (RSK1-4) are a family of broadly expressed Ser/Thr kinases frequently activated in response to mitogenic stimuli, including growth factors and tumor-promoting phorbol esters. RSK4, also known as RPS6KA6, is commonly deleted in patients with complex X-linked mental retardation. Unlike other RSKs, RSK4 is constitutively active in serum-starved cells, and may participate in non- growth factor signaling.\n\nHybridoma: \nProduced from a hybridoma resulting from the fusion of a mouse myeloma with B cells obtained from a rat immunized with purified, E. coli-derived full-length recombinant human RSK4 (rhRSK4; aa 1-745; accession # NP_055311).\n\nApplications:\nWestern Blot: 2.0ug/ml\nOptimal dilutions should be determined by each laboratory for each application.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nLyophilized powder may be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Reconstitute to nominal volume by adding sterile PBS with 40-50% glycerol and store at -20 degrees C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
