Semaphorin 4G (SEMA4G, KIAA1619)

Semaphorin 4G is a 92kD (predicted), class IV member of the semaphorin family of proteins. It is expressed by select cell types, including oligodendroglia and Purkinje neurons, and likely acts as a chemorepellent by binding to B-type plexins. Mature mouse Sema4G is a type I transmembrane protein that is 820aa in length. It contains a 656aa extracellular region aa18-673 that is characterized by one Sema domain aa35-503, a PSI region aa505-556 and an Ig-like C2-type domain aa565-648. The 143aa cytoplasmic region contains a poly-proline segment and a Ser phosphorylation site. Over aa 18-673, mouse Sema4G shares 91-97aa identity with human and rat Sema4G, respectively.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
