SERPINB9 (Serpin B9, Cytoplasmic Antiproteinase 3, CAP-3, CAP3, Peptidase Inhibitor 9, PI-9, PI9)

Mouse Spi-6, also known as serpin B9, is a cytoplasmic serine protease inhibitor of ~42kD. Spi-6 is expressed in dendritic cells, lymphocytes and specific cell types at immune- privileged sites. It inactivates granzyme B, a natural occurring inducer of programmed cell death. As such, Spi-6 functions as anti-apoptotic protein. In cytotxic T cells (CTL), Spi-6 is required to protect clonal bursts (expansion) from granzyme B induced cell death. However, it is not required for the development of memory cells. Expression of SPI-6 is of crucial importance in the escape of several tumors from a CTL response and is, therefore, a parameter that influences the feasibility of CTL-mediated immunotherapy of cancer.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nFlow Cytometry: 1:50\nWestern Blot: 1:50\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
