SGK (S422D), unactive, Recombinant, Human (SGK1, Serum and Glucocorticoid-regulated Protein Kinase)

Human SGK1 fusion protein containing a S422D mutation, N-truncated (missing N-terminal 59aa), N-terminal 6His-tagged. Upon phosphorylation by PDK1 on T256, this protein becomes fully activated.\n\nSpecific Activity:\n~14300U/mg after activation with PDK1. One unit of SGK (S422D) activity is defined as 1nmol phosphate incorporated into Crosstide in one minute.\n\nQuality Control:\nActivation Assay:\nUnactive SGK (S422D) was activated using PDK1 (cat# P3123-01) and the increased activity against crosstide determined. The activation and subsequent assay is described in the protocol. \n\nMS Tryptic Fingerprint:\nConfirmed identity as SGK (S422D) with the translated sequence.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nAliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
