SIGLEC11 (Sialic Acid-binding Ig-like Lectin 11, Sialic Acid-binding Lectin 11, Siglec-11, UNQ9222/PRO28718) (PE)

Siglecs are I-type lectins that belong to the immunoglobulin superfamily. They are characterized by an N-terminal Ig-like V-set domain which mediates sialic acid binding, followed by a varying numbers of Ig-like C2-set domains. Siglec-3 and Siglecs-5-13 constitute the CD33/Siglec-3 related group, which are defined by their sequence homology and differential expression in the hematopoietic system. In humans, Siglec-11 is expressed in tissue macrophages, brain microglia, and inflammatory site monocytes. Strong microglial expression is specific to humans, as it is less prominent or absent in chimpanzees and orangutans.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested.\n\nRecommended Dilutions:\nFlow Cytometry: Neat. 10ul labels up to 1x10e6 cells.\nOptimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.\n\nExcitation: 488nm\n\nEmission: 565-605nm\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for 12 months at 4 degrees C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
