Src, phosphorylated (Tyr418) (pp60Src, pp60c-Src)

Cat no: S6504-45R

Src, phosphorylated (Tyr418) (pp60Src, pp60c-Src)

Src (also known as pp60src) is a non-receptor tyrosine kinase involved in signal transduction in many biological systems and implicated in the development of human tumors. Tyrosine 418 is located in the catalytic SH2 domain and is one of the autophosphorylation sites. Full catalytic activity of Src requires phosphorylation of tyrosine 418. This activity is negatively regulated when tyrosine 529 of Src is phosphorylated by Csk. This conformation holds Src in the inactive form through an intramolecular interaction between the SH2 domain and the carboxyl terminus.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Western Blot. Other applications have not been tested.\n\nRecommended Dilution:\nWestern Blot: 1:1000\nOptimal dilution to be determined by the researcher. \n\nPositive Control: \nChick Embryo Fibroblast (CEF) cells expressing human wild-type Src protein.\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
