Survivin

Survivin is a new inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) protein. It is expressed in the G2/M phase of the cell cycle in a cycle-regulated manner. The overexpression of surviving in cancer may overcome this apoptotic checkpoint and favor aberrant progression of transformed cells through mitosis.\n\nComments: This antibody is excellent for staining of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues.\n\nEpitope: C-terminal\n\nApplications:\nImmunohistology: (Formalin/paraffin) (Ab at 1:100-200 for 30 min) Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 min.\n\nPositive Control: Normal pancreas (alpha cells) or prostate carcinoma\n\nCellular Localization: Cytoplasmic\n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage and to avoid repeated freezing and thawing, aliquot and add glycerol (40-50%). Store at -20 degrees C or colder. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
