Synapsin I, phosphorylated (Ser603)\n

Cat no: S9104-04C

Synapsin I, phosphorylated (Ser603)\n

Synapsin I is a neuron-specific phosphoprotein which is associated with synaptic vesicles in the central and peripheral nervous system. Synapsin I is involved in the regulation of synaptic vesicle availablility, and is thought to play a key role in brain plasticity. Synapsin I is phosphorylated at serine 603 by CaMKII. The specificity of this antibody has been shown by blocking studies in Western blotting, whereby staining was blocked by the phosphopeptide. No blocking was seen by the corresponding non-phosphopeptide.\n\nApplications:\nSuitable for use in Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry (frozen). Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilution: \nWestern Blot:1:1000, detects a band of approximately 78kD in rat brain lysates.\nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nRecommended Secondary Reagents: \nSheep anti rabbit IgG:HRP \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C for short-term only. For long-term storage, store at -20 degrees C. Aliquots are stable for at least 12 months at -20 degrees C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
