The Toll-like receptor (TLR) family in mammal comprises a family of transmembrane proteins characterized by multiple copies of leucine rich repeats in the extracellular domain and IL-1 receptor motif in the cytoplasmic domain. Like its counterparts in Drosophila, TLRs signal through adaptor molecules. The TRL family is a phylogenetically conserved mediator of innate immunity that is essential for microbial recognition. Ten human homologs of TLRs (TLR1-10) have been described. TLR8 gene contains three exons, two of which have coding function. TLR8 cDNA codes for a protein of approximate molecular weight of 120kD.\n\nApplications: \nSuitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. \n\nRecommended Dilutions: \nFlow Cytometry (Intracellular): 0.5-2ug/10e6 cells \nOptimal dilution determined by the researcher. \n\nStorage and Stability:\nMay be stored at 4 degrees C before opening. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4 degrees C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Stable for at least 6 months at 4 degrees C. Freezing R-Phycoerythrin (PE) conjugates will result in a substantial loss of activity. PE conjugates are sensitive to light.
